I will follow up with Rodolphe eventually, I just owe him a lot for his past help, so I'll be happy to wait until it is convenient for him.
Yes, I did program with the Falcon, then verify with the PC several times, and there was never a case when these did not match.
1. The number one reason I don't believe that I caused a hardware problem during this update, is that I did not move or disturb the CT60. All I did was switch to 030 mode and attempt the update with the JTAG cable installed. Therefore, unless the software triggered some kind of spontaneous combustion, it is likely some bit was set incorrectly somewhere.
Now, since I have had to remove and replace the CT60 25 times during testing, it is possible I have broken something else - but since the symptoms have not changed I doubt this. I will probably have to go over the bus speeder installation with a meter to make sure, or turn this over to someone with more skill than I.
2. I sure hope the NVRAM is the problem too, and will be letting everyone know, since someone here suggested I check or replace the NVRAM and I will have to pay up! :)
