Greetings,
It was my understanding that the CT60 installation with solders for bus speeder cuts some signals that are instead passed through the CT60 where they can be switched. If the CT60 is 10 meters away, and the bus speeder connector is detached, I had assumed those connections would remain broken so the circuit is not complete and the computer would not be able to run. Do I misunderstand?

My Falcon does not boot in this case:
- in 030 mode
- when CT60 is completely removed
- bus speeder connector detached
- mainboard jumper set
- original PSU used
- CT60 is 10 meters away your Falcon
It will boot if:
- SDR is erased
or
- CT60 disconnected from expansion connectors
- bus speeder connector attached to CT60
- mainboard jumper set
I can verify that at least on my Falcon, the bus speeder will affect 030 mode if the boost jumper is missing (or the switch is in the open position). In this case, the Falcon will crash once it reaches the desktop if not during the boot process.
I will follow up with Rodolphe after some days, since I sent him a mail a few days ago and I do not want to annoy him. I will probably ask if he is willing to try and repair my CT60 if no other solution can be found.
