Here is the code I use to init the microwire:

this code is tested on STe, MegaSTe and TT. In order to know what values to poke into the LMC1992, you can consult the datasheet here:

page 10 has all the necessary codes. I think that should be all you need, but if not, I'm happy to help further :) I would start the experiment by setting the master volume to -6db.
