Hmm... To be honest these were the answers I was expecting.

I've got an original copy of Audio Sculpture so I'll have a go at boosting the sample volumes.

@gwEm Funnily enough DMA-SC (who's done all the chip tunes for my game) suggested lowering the volume of the chip tunes using the microwire to the same level as the title music, forcing the player to turn the volume up.

I had a play around with the microwire for 15min or so this evening using your online Alive article, gwEm. Seems a bit of a fiddly thing to get working. What I though was boosting the volume turned out to be lowering the volume or turning the volume down totally.

Doesn't the following turn the volume right up?

move.w #%10011111111,d0 ;-0db master volume
bsr.s set_LMC1992
move.w #%10100111111,d0 ;-0db right
bsr.s set_LMC1992
move.w #%10101111111,d0 ;-0db left
bsr.s set_LMC1992

Whilst this turns the volume right down?
