Well, ok, todays task was to move the cable from PIN 13 to PIN 10 on the JTAG connector.
DONE
Next, to solder a 1K resistor onto ONE of the Chips...
That is also now DONE
The CT63 was then put back onto the Falcon, on its own, no CTPCI, the JTAG Cable was then connected to the PARALLEL port and the wires to the PINS on the CT63 ready to FLASH
Then, I used the FLASH060.PRG from the FLASH.TOO folder in the 1.04a archive and I updated the ABE and then the SDR. Everythign seemed to go as it should, but it didnt give anywhere near as much feedback as the PC version did.
Anyway.
once it was all done, I powered everythign off and waited for a few seconds... Fingers crossed...
Poof! - I got the full Message including the ABE & SDR info,
Everything seemed to be fine, I opted for the MagicOS stuff with my SuperBoot menu and it got to the desktop and everythign seemed to be spot on.
Ok, lets see if we can get it to finally find the CTPCI now then?
Plugged it in... CTPCI NOT FOUND?
WTF?
All cables are all in, everything seems to be exactly as it should be?
Gave all teh bits a wobble, make sure its seated as it should be and its all spot on, so... Try Again then...
This time I get a message on the screen "VIDEO OUT OF SYNC"
Crap, the last time I saw that was when the CTCM failed .
I tried again... Out of sync?
I stripped it down and while putting each single part all back together, making doubly sure, but again out of sync.
I have now stripped the Falcon down to just the CT63 and no CTPCI but its still giving the OUT OF SYNC message.
OFFS!
030 mode seems to start up on, just not 060 and so, I tried to flash it in 030 mode, but it moans about no hardware so I must use 060 mode it seems?
So, I am now worse off than I was last night, but I got so close, so why?
I hope the CTPCI isnt duff and its now taken out my CT63?
Back to flashing it on a PC I think, just to try to recover it?
