I'm not that excited about a PCI bridge, for the reasons already given. USB will be much more useful (Scanners, Printers, external storage, digicams, keyboards and mice), and that is already being taken care of. PCI is grat for audio, video and network cards and for SCSI, but the CT60 already has them in the form of ethernat, SV and the Falcons own Audio and SCSI.
As for making the SV a PCI based solution, why complicate it? As it stands, the SV can plug straight into the 060 bus and will be essentially, and the base level, driverless. Making it PCI will only complicate things, and mean we have to buy two cards instead of one to get the same improvement.
A seperate PCI project I think is fine, though I persoanlly wouldn't bother geting one, but I think the SV has to come first as it addresses a real weak spot in the CT60... it's part of hte cake itself, a PCI bridge would be the icing on top.
