Re: How to programming ST sound ?

A quick search brings up this little example http://www.atarimagazines.com/compute/issue70/111_1_BASIC_Sound_On_The_Atari_ST.php

Most basic manuals have a little introduction in to making simple sound effects.

There was a Gem sound effect editor from 1985 on this site once upon a time IIRC, I think it is available from one of the other sites but it's name escapes me.

It is difficult to know how to replicate complex sound from just using tones & noise with an envelope (at least if you are not a sound engineer or something!) It would be good if there was a utility which made an approximate version of a sample sound using just the standard envelopes rather than requiring a sample replay.
