No, you need a faster DSP for higher bitrates. 128kbit is usually fine at 32Mhz though.

That's a bit like asking "how long is a piece of string", isn't it? It brings you one step closer at least.

Are you scared of loosing compatibility, use the DSP-clock wire from the CT60. If not, get a dedicated oscillator. I use the latter, and I haven't really ran into any compatibility issues with legacy stuff myself.
