yes it is, you can run all software you used to run in accelerated mode then ;-) Seriously, it really speed up things where DSP is used.

If you ask about DSP -- because in normal (unaccelerated) mode you need that DSP again on the original frequency (if not, DSP stuff wont get sync again).

If you ask about overall acceleration -- yes, it's true, you will probably never want to switch to 16/32 MHz mode again. I use it only for testing my stuff if it still run on standard machine.
