Great to hear that you found the problem! :)
Yes, we'd very much appreciate if you would add some kind of "online" start/stop feature depending on the status of the cable. :) That was actually the next thing that we were going to add... I think you'll get an interrupt from the 91C111 if the cable is suddenly unplugged, but better doublecheck that in the datasheet. :)
