Hi mikro!

I agree, no fun finally getting your ethernats and then you can't use them.... :-(

One thing I can assure you at least is that those boards didn't leave my home without programming and testing in my falcon (it's a CT60 from the first or second batch). So there has to be something else... Anyone else reading this who has a CT63 and an EtherNat who can confirm that it's working for you?

As far as I remember Rodolphe said that the bugs of the early ABE-versions would be fixed in the CT63s so they would behave like the AB5M version. And AFAIK there should be no other differences.

The first thing I would recommend you to do is getting a JTAG cable :O) and try reprogramming the ABE of your old CT60 to AB5M and do any possible hardware modifications that comes with that version. I'm thinking about the wire that should be cut and possibly other stuff...

Also if you don't have a jumper placed on the J7 connector of your EtherNat (near the USB connector) try adding one. If you do have one, try removing it. This toggles a filter that makes the clock signal coming from the CT60 look a bit better. With the jumper on the filter is active, and if you don't notice any difference leave the jumper on.

One last thing to try is using a different version of the EtherNat ethernet driver. The one you're using now is most likely the one that uses the /I6 signal for generating interrupts to the CT60. Instead try recompiling the driver with the "USE_200HZ" define instead of "USE_I6". You'll find this at the top of the file called "ethernat.c". This makes the driver use the 200Hz (TimerC) of the falcon instead of /I6. Since the 200Hz interrupt is guaranteed to work in your falcon, this should work fine, but yields a lower throughput.

Try these things and we'll see what happens. :)

/Henrik
