Ok, Im with the Falcon right now.
I have patched the MAGIC.RAM file. How I missed this earlier on, I dont know?
Anyway, I used the v6.2 RAM file ,and it says its patched it, dotn know if it was successful cos it only told me it had finished, but anyway, Im getting much further with that.
It now loads the MAGXBOOT.PRG and resets the Falcon, I see it restarting in 80 column mode ( normally its 40 you see ) where HDDriver kicks in, but then I get 4 BOMBS... ILLEGAL INSTRUCTION?
I have stripped the Falcon down anyway, and Im looking ( Hopefulyl at it wrong ) but I can see resistors there that Rodolf says I need to move ( Im going off the top of my head here ) if I have one of the nasty boards... So... It certainly does look like I have one of the crappy Falcons that need to have a hardware hack to be reliable.
Im hoping I am wrong, but what I am going o do, is pack all this Falcon and CT63 up, and get it sent off to Rodolf in the next few days... Or at least I will get in touch with him about it first of course, and get him to sort it out for me.
Said it before, and Ill say it again...
I have paid a lot for the Falcon and a lot for the CT63... Why not pay a little more to have it right.
I just need to do a few photos of the board so I wont be wasting Rodolfs time.
