too bad I can't find this: it's lost somewhere between mail and newsgroups...
Hovever, I had a behaviour like that. It was explained to me that it has something to do with a kind of feedback that happens when you push the button, and a resistor+capacitor solution solved it at the very first shot.
Since it is just son 5-10 cents worth of materials, and only soldering on a pushbutton nowhere near your falcon, it maybe good to try this.
