Powering the Falcon directly makes no difference in this problem.
I tried it. And yes, there is enough room, even with CTPCI and IDE cable connected.
Nevertheless, i suggest powering the Falcon other than backwards through the Floppy power wire, anyway. The risk of putting it false on the ct6x and destroy your precious Hardware is too high.
By the way, you can actually run it without the cable for quick testing.
5V and Ground are fed through the ct6x already. 12V are needed to have sound and proper RS232 afaik.
The Falcon indeed runs without the floppy power cable connected to the ct6x.
I suggest soldering wires to the ct6x (bottomside to the ATX connectors) and run the needed voltages to Falcon over the standard power connector.
Bend down its pins by 90° (e.g. flat to the board) to have enough room for CTPCI/IDE cables.
If you don't use PicoPSU, just take a drive power connector of your ATX PSU,
snip it off and connect the wires to the Falcon power pins.
