Hi Atarians,
i flashed the new boot 2.00 beta yesterday, too. Here my experience.
NVDI 5.01 works now (drivers removed). \o/ yay!
- video = modecode works great, would have been cool to have known that earlier :)
as well as the doublecklick method to obtain the modecode
- in 64k colors, icons are overlayed with blue, as Latz reported
- in 16M colors, icons work as desired, and gradients do as well, a step up from fVDI
- context menu of Jinnee now works with correct colors, too (not correct with fVDI)
- no blinking cursor on the desktop any more
- calling XaAES System/Log window is only possible over CTRL-ALT-L, not over menu
- scrolling content of System/Log window XaAES horizontal still locks up system,
- right-click menu of window close button opens, but choosing an entry locks up system

My Setup:
Falcon ct63, 103 MHz, CTPCI, Radeon 9200, ct63 and CTPCI use latest official firmwares, Boot 2.00 beta from Sept. 24th
MiNT 1.16.3a (EasyMiNT installed kernel), XaAES 0.998alpha (latest official from XaAES page), NVDI 5.01, Jinnee 2.5 desktop
Really no offense Didier, but XaAES 0.963 wasn't even a kernel module and is totally outdated for years now, imho it makes no sense to debug for outdated system and tell users 'it works fine on my system at home'.
Please, consider updating your MiNT system at home and use at least latest official XaAES release as a testbed.
Probably not best idea to test on daily pre-release builds, though :)
If the majority of CTPCI/Radeon users does in fact use XaAES 0.963, please let me know guys. In that case i'll downgrade and wait for my SuperVidel.
