some observations with this snapshot:
- fvdi start from mint.cnf still works
- crash if my NEC USB card is installed:

Prior to this, it did once work, but report an unrecoverable OHCI error. Vendor ID 0x1033, Device ID 0x0035, 0x0035, 0x00E0
- TOS memory test won't terminate unless it's aborted by user prior to reaching the end of the progress bar
- flashing the TOS from 060 mode and MiNT/XaAES did work
- I've still got a blinking text cursor on the Radeon screen
- MagiC untested/failed. What to install and where?
