With my first CPU (rev.1) i had a lot of illegal instructions and bus errors running at 66 mhz. I saw that wasn't really random, it happen while doing heavy load tasks like compiling, etc. When i turned off caches, the system ran stable again (but slow :-)). I don't think is your case but if you get out of ideas you can test without caches on and see if could be something related to the CPU.
