Anders,
I assume, (cos you have a good reputation for not being stupid ;-)) that you installed the CT63 correctly, and made sure any previous mods to the motherboard were reversed (like clock patch etc) other than the recommended by Rodolph patches.
The first thing I'd do, is swap the CPU with the one in your main machine and test again. It's just possible you have a bad rev6. Did I also read somewhere that these (50mhz parts!) are more stable at 72mhz than 66mhz?
The second thing I'd do, if the first thing didn't solve anything, is this, but it's a lot of work: Swap your complete CT60/CT63's over to the other motherboard. Obviously this isn't a trivial operation but it would show if theres an issue on the motherboard, or with the CT63.
Another thing: What about the cleanliness of the boards? I would use a brush (not nylon) and carefully clean every part of the motherboard.
Another thing 2: Get a magnifying glass and spend some time looking at the board for spilled solder splashes/nuggets, or anything else that got into the machine and may be causing a short circuit.
If none of these things help, it just may be that one of the chips on the board will need to be replaced, and in that case there's only one person who I know that can help you. I hope shipping to France is not so expensive these days.
