An follow-up to this follow-up. :)

You can see a working example of this technique in our SV2019 invitro: https://demozoo.org/productions/205747. It uses a 256x240 VGA resolution.

The really sad thing is that I had a 320x240 version (yes, still on VGA!) of that plasma working until I bumped into the sad fact that Falcon's SDMA is not without any cost (as it is on the STE): http://atari-forum.com/viewtopic.php?f=16&t=37272

That ruined everything, even that 256px version is not glitch-free.

Even though sound playback is a pretty low priority bus master (basically just above the Blitter), it is still a DMA device, so if a MFP interrupt and this request meet, the playback still wins.

SDMA has a 32-byte FIFO buffer so maybe it is possible to synchronise this by hand (via DSP) but it wont be trivial for sure.
