sorry for the blank reply, itchy fingers..

the pixel clock can probably be estimated by using one of the measurement techniques you mention + a model of the Videl. if the model timing outcome matches your measurement then you got the right clock. i guess iteratively trying clock frequencies with the videl model would be best. it sounds like a bitch to compute the ext clock frequency just from one measurement, though.

have you already a videl model using mikro's videl doc, or maybe extracted some code from the screenspain tool? this sounds like the most work.
