I would like to make some spheres that rotate on 3 axis and jump around in response to audio. Thought there might be a way to avoid matrix calcs but earx seems to say that 3d calcs are still needed for each point (except where your limiting flexibility, which i dont want to do).
I saw a live show at Mutek '02 where dot spheres were being created from audio waveforms and I've wanted to do something similar ever since. It'd be hard for me to describe exacly since its been a long time. If you want to know what performers did that i could look it up.
