Swe, I guess you did some research with Aniplayer too ;-) - Sort of matches my experience. DSP enabled with JPEG decoding slows things down over letting the '060 get on with things by itself.

But the situation is reversed with Mpeg audio streaming. By the way, how well do Ogg Vorbis files play on CT60, with or without DSP, in terms of CPU time? I've yet to come across some of those myself ;-)
