since now I never had any troubles with IDE, that ethernat is probably something like that cartridge port (affects the IDE "sensibility").

peter, you say no longer than 10 cm but -- how could I use hardisk (and possible some second IDE device) in the tower? No way motherboard <-> harddisk is <10 cm...

too bad I realised that replaced 2.5->3.5 adapter fixed everything.. it was just some "good will", I had to switch to 75 MHz for good (else md5s didn't match again). damn!
