Perhaps this could only work in a way such that only the active application is visible, and the others are minimized, iconified, or put to sleep.

It may be that such an idea can only be implemented in single TOS.
There was a program called DCRunRez that would perform this function, but it doesn't know anything about Falcon screen modes.

The way that it worked was that you renamed the programs .pr1 .pr2 or .pr3, and installed DCRunRez as an application so that if you ran a .pr1 which was for low rez, it would switch to low rez to run the program, then switch back when you exited the program.

This sort of works on the Falcon/CT60, but programs crash on exit.

The problem is that the program only supports the original three TOS display modes. It would need to be updated to add new display modes.

The author said that it should be easy to disassemble and work on, although I don't know how to to that.

I'm finding that the most time consuming and frequent reason for rebooting is to change resolution. Changing within multitasking os desktops like Magx, Jinnee, Xaaes, or N_aes seems to crash, particularly when trying to switch to a non standard mode like 640x480 TC. If I set the change then save, then reboot it usually will work.

Are others able to change resolution and color depth when in a multi-os?

Thanks
