Basically what I need to know is it how I prevent short circuit when using the port for discrete inputs. Any application can change the direction of the port... so what happens if I've connected one of the data pins tom GND or VCC, and an application changes the direction of the port? Short circuit? I'm thinking 100ohms in series, but I'm not sure if that'll do the trick (I'm not too good at this)
