Latest Doom works, but I cannot use the mouse

With gem, mouse is not grabbed by default to be used by the game. You need to press Alt+G to toggle grabbing. If you see the gem mouse cursor, then it's not grabbed, and not usable to play.

Unfortunately fire button (AFAIK=right mouse button) doesn´t work

It's because the game use left mouse button to fire, and right mouse button to move forward. You can change it in config file.

Definitely, I must find time to make an interface to change input configuration.
