Oh, I didn't know that. A quick peek through the manual shows that you are indeed right -- but it seems that the snooping is limited to invalidating entire cache lines on 'line hits'.

Thus cache clears will still be required when either 1) the DMA transfers in the system are not 16-byte-aligned or 2) the DMA transfers are going *to* peripheral devices (as the 060 cannot force its cache contents onto the bus via the snooping mechanism)... right?
