I'd check if the machine works without the extender, if it does, problem identified.
Just out of curiosity, for what is the extender really needed? I'm using my CT63, SV and Svethlana in the standard casing without needing an extender.
Is it to get the SV away from the harddrive? In that case, I highly recomend a DOM SSD that uses close no space at all. Something like this: http://tinyurl.com/l7pqewd
