Yep, works as you've described to me. My reference system is for 90 MHz CTPCI and Mint 1.18. Any optimisations will be very welcome here. At the same time, it is a lot better than what came before, with a working main screen, even if very slowly.

A couple of minor points of interest. I did get a GEM mouse cursor when the main screen was fully ready to access. Clicking on the petals still felt a bit unresponsive and haphazard, but worked.

I was able to esc/quit back to desktop, but lost the mouse cursor thereafter.

(Also on my probably shonky (Mac)Aranym set-up running in JIT mode with EmuTOS, we have partial working. Visuals from the opening part display, stars are a fair bit quicker spinning and scrolling left, but there is no sound and no progression of the rest of the demo from there.) - Same loss of mouse cursor on returning to the desktop.
