...not stable in the meaning of interupted transmissions of files. (like up to 1 Gb in my case) - I tried with 66,6 Mhz and still the same issue. The behaviour in all stays the same even @ 82 Mhz - slow speed (with ftpserv) and interrupted downloads to the mac.- But NO freezing! Galvez told me to try with the ftpserverapp which comes with Mint, but I don't know how to hook that one up...
