Hi,

Thanks for the info. I do use short 80-wire cables, perhaps 15 cm short.

I don't get any error messages with my Realtek 8139C card, it gets configured by the driver, and is up and running, according to ifconfig on the bash.
There is just no data transfered, not even a single ping.
This is due to DMA trouble, isn't it?

Maybe i can find an USB card with that NEC chip you mentioned.
