We're running 1680x1050 and 1280x1024 right now, so yes, we have wide-screen :P 1440x900 is of course no problem either, but 1920x1080 and 1920x1200 need reduced timings for DVI, since our DVI chip can only handle 165MHz (single DVI link). We could maybe run up to 200MHz on the video clock for VGA, with the DVI chip turned off, to get the higher resolutions on VGA.
Our goal was to have the high resolutions that we have now, and the current blitter, as well as Videl translation support, of course. We haven't yet done any ST compatible modes (which includes 2-bit mode) and we haven't support for RGB at all yet. We would like to do that before production since VGA uses 0.7Vp-p and RGB uses 1.0Vp-p signalling. We expect the RGB image to be somewhat dark, since we've optimized the DAC signal levels for VGA.
Other smaller stuff which we don't have yet is the Videl hardware scrolling, but that should be quite easy. Dont' confuse this with blitting stuff onto the screen. We need the HW scrolling for Videl compatibility only.
Since we have an easy-to-use firmware upgrade program for the SV (you don't need any cables) we can easily release stuff in the future. So we shouldn't need to create all the above mentioned features before production, as long as we're sure that such features don't rely on untested HW functions. The RGB modes need to be tested before production since they differ from VGA in signalling and voltage.
I would estimate that we're 95-96% ready for production.
