Wow, I can confirm this, it really works! Finally able to boot fvdi.prg from AUTO folder or (!) mint.cnf...
I also see "Use DMA" button!
Also extended boot resolutions!
On my CRT I was able to set 1024x768@85 Hz (native resolution) but on my LCD, I was able to set 1920x1080@60 Hz but it looked very strange, somehow shifted to the top-right corner so it wasn't definitely ok (VGA connector, i.e. "CRT,CRT" settings).
Another interesting thing, when starting Qed with fVDI (at least under mint), I see this: "no old GDOS (vq_devinfo)" over screen, but after screen refresh is gone.
