Re: CTPCI update

Nobody is taking your project from you, nobody doubts your ability to fix anything but you miss the most important point -- while you could focus on USB, new Flash tool, your hard drive issues, whatever, you spend time answering emails, posts on forums and trying to catch bugs you don't see (like that Radeon 7000 issues or fVDI crashes).

In case more people have source code, more people can actually look for the cause and FIX it and send you only a final patch. You include it, continue on your stuff, no problem.

I really don't understand your point of view. I've already make sources much cleaner, cross compiler friendly, a lot of error-prone constructions like absolute jumps relocation or unreliable makefiles was kicked out... and no. I've got my sources, you've got your sources and that's it.

Example: do you realize every release CTPCITOS.BIN and CTPCI1GB.BIN are totally same files? You know why? Because your Makefile is broken. And you know what? Unless 10 people will tell you it's a problem, you wont notice this. Then you spend 2 hours looking for problem and then you hopefully fix it. Oh wait, you wont, because there's another bug and that is non-working 1GB version at all. So you spend another X hours on this.

I've already fixed it. You see the point? In case I send you only a patch, you don't need to bother with it at all and focus on cool things you're so good in.
