1. Video memory is faster than TTRAM excepted when single access are used. For copy a bloc (a picture), the fastest method is to put the block inside the radeon memory, when you put this block to the screen you get the fastest parformance (something than 2,5Gbyte/S), else if you copy this block from the TTRAM to the Radeon memory in theory you can get the maximum speed of the bridge 133 Mytes/S when cache is used (CPU burst) or move16, or you can use the DMA (mike a bilitter), for me the best method.
2. For me actually 3D stuff need a rebuild of OpenGL, on Linux I think XAA (XAADOComposite) is used.
The problem on Atari is there are no VDI function(s) for 3D texture tasks.
What in the best mettod for use 3D acceleration ?
