It sounds like you don't have a route setup for your local subnet.

To setup the interface manually (I have no idea what E-nick is and I don't know how your /etc/sysconfig files look like) do like this, assuming your Falcon have IP 192.168.0.100:

ifconfig en0 addr 192.168.0.100
route add 192.168.0.0


I think it is the second line of those that have not been carried out.

If you also want internet connection, you need to specify the gatewaty with route as well, assuming the gateway is 192.168.0.1:

route add default en0 gw 192.168.0.1


If the network is fine after setting it up manually, there is something wrong in your /etc/sysconfig settings.
