Hello!
I've done a few tests the last couple of days, trying to fit a SuperVidel with an EtherNat ontop into the standard falcon plastic case. Without the internal keyboard I could screw the plastic case together by having it bend slightly. :) But I noticed that we can make things a little better by changing connectors on the SV prior to production, thereby saving up to 3-4mm height.
When I tried placing the internal keyboard into the falcon also, it wouldn't get down all the way due to the EtherNat. The keyboard ended up resting on the small jumper connector J7 of the EtherNat which is next to the USB connector. At the highest point of the plastic case where the keyboard is supposed to rest there was about 1cm space between this point and the keyboard. Maybe a picture is needed for illustration. :P
If I would bend or remove the J7 connector, the keyboard would reach slightly further down but end up resting on the USB connector instead. Again this would get slightly better when we replace the connectors of the SV with ones that are lower.
I haven't tried fitting a SV alone together with keyboard yet, but from what I remember it should present no problems, except that you won't have space to put an internal 3.5" harddrive at the same place where the standard 2.5" harddrive is mounted, because the DVI connector has to go out that way along with your DVI cable. I have an internal 2.5" mounted in the standard harddrive bracket and had to push the harddrive a few millimeters towards the back of the case to give the DVI cable free access to the DVI connector. No big adjustment I believe. :)
I'll try doing tests tonight or on Monday evening with SV only and hopefully I'll have a couple of pictures to show you.
/Henrik
