Perhaps Gwile and Frost mean some kind of videomode could be constructed that 'looks and feels' exactly like RGB mode from the Falcon's point of view, but outputs to a VGA screen, mixing the RGB 'half-frames' into VGA 'full frames' as a bonus ?
I guess it'd be cool if it could prevent switching monitors to watch certain (older) demos or play a game. But if that is not possible anyway, such a thing becomes rather pointless without external inputs indeed. And besides, it's not like a 2nd hand flickerfixer is expensive or anything ;)
