Re: SuperVIDEL w/ flicker-fixe

Ok, first of all, have I misunderstood what a "flicker-fixer" is? :)

As I read your description, I thought it was a device that takes an analog input signal (i.e. a TV signal) and converts it to an analog VGA signal. So it inserts all the sync signals that the VGA resolution needs.

On the SuperVidel, we would do this by converting the analog TV signal into a digital one (so an ADC is needed), and then simply output it through the digital display circuits(i.e. the FPGA) on the SuperVidel. Of course the signal is converted to analog again by the DAC, before it gets to the VGA port.

If this is the method you mean, I'm afraid we don't have enough space on the SuperVidel card to place the needed ADC circuit.
