hi all,
today i discovered strange thing. normally i don't care much about transfer speed, ethernat always gave me about 2-3 MB/s when connected to my laptop on LAN. However, today I needed to download some bigger stuff (about 200 MB) and after closer look I see that download speed is not 2-3 MB/s anymore! It was something between 50 and 100 KB/s.
And now the coolest part -- upload still works in 2-3 MB/s. For sure I installed fresh easymint (I have one free ext2 partition for experiments like this), recompiled ethernat.xif and still the same.
When I connected falcon<->laptop directly, it's better, about 800 KB - 1 MB/s but I don't get it -- why it's now twice as slow?
My setup is normal, mint ftp client, linux ftp server. I tried also other protocols (wget + http), direct download from internet (and not from LAN) and still that speed ~100 KB/s.
Do you think is it possible in any way that my ethernat is broken? For me it seems quite impossible, upload works great, download works, only it's slow, what kind of HW it could be? But on the other side, I'm out of ideas in all other areas...
