Reset != Reset

Wtf. Ok, here's my problem:

I often have trouble with bombs/exception during bootup. Resetting the machine using the reset switch on the CT60 board doesn't cure it, but resetting the machine using the switch on the motherboard works.

AFAIK this should be the same thing, but aparently it's not. Can someone shed some light on this?
