hi Bod,

how many bytes you copy in one pass in Non Hog Mode?

There you see picture of blitter's activity (copy 6400 bytes) in non hog mode). Black part is blitter white/gray part is CPU.

I marked green border area. Well, as we can see, blitter can block Timer D occurrence.
