Just going by what the magazine articles say... 32k on-screen colors out of a palette of about a quarter of a million.

I HAVE seen PC video cards advertised (years ago) to have 15-bit on-screen colors with a palette of 256k (or 16.7m). Perhaps this is a mistake that the advertisers AND journalists (about the Falcon) have made?

I'm not sure. It's just that too many times I've seen people insist that the Falcon has a 15-bit/pixel mode so I wanted to see if anyone has heard of it (with or without being paletted really).
