well, the good thing with VBCC is the .prg size output which is very small when using libc :)
and I can use it on my falcon on plain tos, gcc need mint, so I can code on my PC most of the time and when debugging on real machine I still can compile the same code
the second thing is that gnu-as doesn't support comments on the same line as code
ie: move.w d0,d0 # comment
