Never mind, found an article in Alive #6 that explains stuff in a way that I understand it! 8-)
Just one more question, apart from the obvious (timers can't interrupt the blitter), meaning timer-based effects in music (like SID) will sound crap, is there anything else to be aware of when using the blitter? No problems with DMA sound or disk loading (those are the two that strike me off the top of my head)?
