at the top of my head, i imagine it was windowed but instead it is like circular buffer of charactere witch could be done in two pass.
for a step of 2, in scrolling, we must shifting curcar 2 time by vbl, after 8 vbl all the 16 bande exist so if we add one charactere at the 'largeur of bande' we could got at any moment of the scroll all the 16 preshifted caractere so we could do a horizontal sinusscroll
