this thread is putting on weight in more than one way now.. i'll just add another "tub-o-mayo" to this obese kid's stomach.

yes, the ST deserves respect. but look at pouet.net for some opinions, you'll see that famous ST demos also are already respected by other scenes. there is no doubt that what 8-bit Atarians have done lately is really excellent. still, that doesn't mean ST stuff is shit compared to it. Ooh crikey, Virtual escape, Odd stuff, Various holocaust demos, Suretrip, Posh, Synergy megademo, Union demo, DSOTS, etc, etc.. can be sent to the trash can after having seen Numen?

the above demos were just a few examples.. the st scene had its share of greatness in every era. and yes, it also saw tons of crap released in every era. this crap is a thorn in the eye of some (or ulcer, or whatever nasty medical condition you prefer to use as a metaphore ;)) but let me quarantee you that time effectively heals all wounds and only the great stuff will be remembered. it's not worth the trouble to 'purge' your scene from bad releases. in the worst case it only tires you out and the whole scene becomes a bunch of grumpy old gits. in a somewhat better case it would turn the scene into somekind of pouet zoo.

my point: let TBC (and other black sheep) do what they want. if they don't bother you directly, why should you bother them?
