in the meantime I discussed this with Troed/Sync and he confirmed the demo doesn't work on 2 of his monitors either.
Something is wrong clearly wrong in the way border is removed (bottom border I think) and this modify the sync signal.
I remember you sent me a test version of HRM2 in 2014 to fix the pixel alignement in Hatari, but unfortunately I didn't have an STE to test back then ; because if I test this version now on my 520 STE, then I see the same problem was already there, sync seems to be altered :(
I'm looking at some traces and hopefully this should be fixable but it certainly explain why it didn't work on the video screen at sillyventure (and why it didn't work in current emulators, change of sync frequency during display is not sthg really supported)
