Well, if TOS loaders try to detect or modify TOS using hardcoded addresses then they will most likely fail miserably.
Toasting the ROM.. there are lots and lots of guides around, just do a quick search. Basically you take the image and write it into 2 27C010 ICs, and then replace the tos chips on your machine with those. Of course you'll need to know which is "hi" chip and which is "lo". Usually the eeprom programmer will split the image for you, no need to use weird utilities for that. If you don't know which is hi and which lo just try them on, see if it boots and if it doesn't swap them around. If that doesn't do the trick then we've messed something up!
Which brings me to the main point: We haven't tested it on real hardware yet, and while we're confident it will probably work, we're not sure yet! Just saying because I don't want people to spend money on something that isn't verified working yet! When we do verify it and deem it stable, we'll probably offer pairs of tos chips around...
