Thanks guys for the info. I'm also an electronics engineer and I wrote microcontroller code to display 16bit colour on an Amiga monitor. I had to read memory while the electron beam swept across the screen and change the RGB values at the same time so it looks like the STe is the same thing.
QUESTION:
Is there a BASIC language for the STe that uses the full hardware of the STe? The Amiga had AMOS. This Basic Language took full advantage of the Amigas hardware including Hardware screen scrolling, Screen modes, Digital sound, hardware sprites and BOBS (software sprites - even in 4096 colours)
So what has the STe got thats equivelant to AMOS?
Do I have to write my own BASIC language to take advantage of the STe's hardware?
